Pastel Time!!

Blame my sister-in-law Bella that now I really really craving nail polish pastel colors which I would gladly use when my period comes. It was start when we both shopping at ITC Mangga Dua and ended up at the cosmetic store because she wanted to buy some nail polish and make-up kit. I never interested to nail polish before because I couldnt use it all the time plus I was too lazy and I tought it was too bothersome bla bla bla. But, I changed my mind so quick when I saw these yummy-honey-bunny-sweety-juicy dozens nail polish in pastel colors. Literally, so yummy!!
It turned out I chose nail polish nude color as an experiment (it was my first time for my virgin nails! lol), while Bela chose beautiful purple color.
Aaand, you wont believe it I was polishing my nail when I wrote this. lol
Now after I tried with nude color, I want more colors.
I decided to googling about nail polish and it gave me some knowledge: 1. there are some well known brands like Opi, Orly, Essie, and China Glaze which have sweet sweet sweet colors collection. 2. There are some cosmetic online shops provided the brands I mentioned before and they were original. Not "KW" ("fake version") lol. You can go to here and here to see the website.
Had been searched and searched, based on the price and the color, I decided to ordered Orly Sweet Collection as you can see on the picture below. No I didnt buy every of them because it such a greedy. I just bought the purple, yellow, and pink color. And nude color but it is China Glaze because I couldnt find a nice nude color in Orly. Actually, I ordered turquoise color but sadly and unfortunately it was out of stock :( But I swear I'll buy this color when its in stock.
Cant wait to see the sweet delivery :D

X Boutique

Ever since i resigned from my old job as an editor, this is the very first time me back to my root job as an architect. It was thanks to my book that brought me my first client, Mrs. Nimas Wulan. Seemingly she read dan liked my designs on the book and then contacted me. Because i was so damn free that i could kill my daily time only with reading some books or mangas, I agreed to say "yes" when she asked me to design a boutique. It was my first time being asked to design a boutique so I bet it would be exiting.

To be more complete, she asked to design a boutique plus a delivery service and chill-out area with simple, modern, yet not too striking design. The building will takes place in front of her house.

Had been searched the perfect model for the boutique design for days, finally I found the muse: The FIU FIU Boutique in Warsaw, Poland.

the pictures of FIU FIU Boutique taken from here
Its triangle ceiling and how it shaped the interior perfectly really caught my eyes for the very first time. I love how a simple thing can changes the whole look.

Because I had fallen in love with the triangle, I put this shape into the facade of second floor. I didnt want the neat look so i twisted the shape into asymmetrical. Then, I added some mini triangulars as the window and I sprinkled them randomly. The triangular shape also appeared as a non-massive wall at the side of the building, create an openness yet lil' bit private atmosphere. Functional meets aesthetic :)

Apparently, my client thought the design was still too striking. She insisted that the design must be more lightly and "calm". So, onced again I surfed the internet to looked up some designs. And, voila! I found out something interesting.
It was inflatable building made by Inflate called AirClad. Take a look at the pictures below.

The pictures taken from here
If i may copy from the web, AirClad is semi-permanent or permanent indoor or outdoor building that using AirFlow technology. AirFlow is when and inflatable structure is inflated with a larger blower that stays blowing all the time while the structure is needed to stay inflated.
Yes, it is such a high tech building system that cost reaaallly high that I wouldnt take it into my design. My client would scream if she knows it cost thousands poundsterling lol.

Rather than the building sistem, the shape of the building intriguing me. It is so simple, just square with arch on each side, I know. But, this simpliness never failed me. So, I took that kind of shape into my design number 2.

I thought it was "calm and lightly" enough :)
My client took about a week to gave me a reply about the recent design. At the end, she said that she wanted to add more functions, those are a drug store and clinic.
It becomes more complicated and challenging.
I guess I have to look up some clinics near my house as a model.
I'll post my recent design after I done with it :)
